31 Aug Don’t Go Underground with Your Emotions
We all have a tendency to go underground with our feelings, temptations, and emotions that trouble us. We hide them. We don’t want anyone to see them. Then like potent, virile weeds, the underground roots attached to our hidden emotions grow wildly!
To really manage our troubling emotions, we must not go underground with them or “bury our head in the sand”! With your spouse, talk about them, discuss them, confess them, cry over them, shout at them—do what you must with them—but don’t bury them!
When these feelings have been properly unearthed, then pray together. Ask Jesus to assist you; He will help you deal with the feelings and then release them forever! It’s the best way to stay above ground!
